HYDERABAD: The Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) is planning to make full use of the popularity and glamour within the family to attract voters.

Chiranjeevi’s brothers, Nagendra Babu and Pavan Kalyan, are already actively participating in activities of the party and now it has roped in son Ram Charan Tej.

The youngster might not go on the stump, but he has lent his voice to one of the 10 songs being recorded for the campaign, with Ananth Sriram penning the lyrics and Mani Sarma composing the tunes. Today, Ram Charan recorded a song of four minutes’ duration titled “Praja Rajyam Idi Prajalandaridi’’ (“This Praja Rajyam belongs to one and all’’).

The audio will be released on February 10.

Meanwhile, a Group One officer of the State, M Srinivas, today joined the party in the presence of party general secretaries Allu Aravind and Dr P Mithra. Speaking on the occasion, Aravind and Mithra said Srinivas joined the Group One service in 2004, prior to which he had worked for the CPM for more than 20 years. Praja Rajyam’s social justice plank had drawn him to the party, they said.
