Steps were also taken to ensure that the devotional programmes telecast on Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel reach 10 crore people in the country.
Anjaneyulu, a devotee, urged the TTD to conduct Dharma Pracharam in Jammu and Kashmir. Venkateswara Rao of Martur and Appa Rao of Rajampet sought effective measures to stamp out corruption at Srinivasam, Kalyana Katta and other places.
RT C pac kage tours to pilgrim centres
ANANTAPUR: For the convenience of people visiting pilgrim centres during the summer vacation, the APSRTC Anantapur region has started operating special buses.
Special package tours to pilgrim places will also be organised.
The package tour, which will start from Anantapur RTC bus station at 5 am on Sunday, covers Anjaneya Swamy temple in Aragonda, Varasiddhi Vinayaka Swamy temple in Kanipakam and Swarna Devalayam in Vellore. It will return to Anantapur the next day.
The special package tour will be conducted on every Sunday. The bus fare is Rs 390 for adults and Rs 198 for children.
Advance booking of tickets is available at the RTC bus station.
The RTC will also run special buses to Brahmamgari Matham in Kadapa district from tomorrow for Pothuluri Veerabrahmendra Swamy Aradhanotsavam.
