HYDERABAD: G V K Reddy, Chairman, GVK Group of Industries, which picked up five per cent stake in Emergency Management and Research Institute (EMRI) has been unanimously elected as its Chairman. Accepting the invitation from Chief Minister Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy to support EMRI and join the board, Reddy stated that his wish is to do the best and be second to none. ``He believes in team work and wants the name and fame of EMRI to be strengthened further,’’ said a company release.

EMRI has been scouting for a partner ever since the Satyam-scam surfaced, following which eminent people on board including former President, A P J Abdul Kalam quit EMRI.
