HYDERABAD: The State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) has launched mobile banking service, an alternative channel for secure online banking.

State Bank Freedom, the new mobile banking service of the SBH, enables the customers to `carry the bank in their pocket’.

Touted as `Your Mobile-Your Bank’, the mobile banking service is fast, user-friendly and very convenient for all banking needs. It is available 24x7 and the customers could access their bank accounts from anywhere, anytime.

According to an official press rlease here today, with State Bank Freedom customers could pay utility bills like eletricity, water bills, insurance, mobile phone recharge, top-ups, credit card bills, transfer funds, get mini-statement of account, enquire about account balance, request for cheque book, issue stop-payment, instructions in case of lost ATM-cum-Debit card and GET SMS instant alerts.

The service comes free of charge. The customer, however, has to bear the cost of communication levied by the mobile service provider for all transactions.

The SBH mobile banking service is fully secure with 128 bit encryption and enforces two factor athentication for customer’s protection.

The customer has to use m-pin for all transactions. Both current and savings bank account holders could avail themselves of the facilty, the press release said.
