RTC bus stolen from Imlibun, traced

HYDERABAD: An AP State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus which was parked in the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Stand (MGBS), Imlibun, was stolen by unidentified persons and later abandoned in Medak district today.

The bus with registration number AP 28 Z 2530, belongs to Bhadrachalam depot. The bus driver, Rammoorthy, brought the bus to the depot from Bhadrachalam early today morning and after parking it on platform no 1, went to sleep. Another driver was supposed to run the service today morning but when he came to the platform, he found the bus missing. He immediately alerted the RTC officials who later lodged a complaint with the Afzalgunj police. The police alerted their counterparts in the neighbouring districts and launched a search to find the bus. In the afternoon, they found the bus abandoned near a petrol filling station at Narsapur in Medak district.
