SCR to run special trains to Puttaparthi

HYDERABAD: The South Central Railway will run special trains to Sathya Sai Prashanti Nilayam from Secunderabad, Kacheguda and Vijayawada, and from Satya Sai Prashanti Nilayam to Kacheguda.

HYDERABAD: The South Central Railway will run special trains to Sathya Sai Prashanti Nilayam from Secunderabad, Kacheguda and Vijayawada, and from Satya Sai Prashanti Nilayam to Kacheguda.

Special train No. 07611 will leave Secunderabad at 17.30 hours on April 25 and arrive at Satya Sai Prashanti Nilayam at 3.30 am on the next day. In the return direction, special train No. 07612 will leave Satya Sai Prashanti Nilayam at 5 am on April 26 and arrive at Kacheguda at 17.30 hours the same day.

No. 07603 special will leave Kacheguda at 22.00 hours on April 26 and arrive at Satya Sai Prashanti Nilayam at 7.30 hours on the next day.

These specials will halt at Shadnagar, Jadcherla, Mahboobnagar, Gadwal, Kurnool Town, Dhone, Gooty, Anantapur and Dharmavaram. They will carry one AC 2-Tier, two AC 3-Tier, ten Sleeper Class, two General Second Class and two General Second Class-cum-Brake Van coaches.

Special train No. 07211 will leave Vijayawada at 16.00 hours on April 26 and reach Satya Sai Prashanti Nilayam at 04.30 hours the next day. It will halt at Guntur, Narsaraopet, Vinukonda, Donakonda, Markapur Road, Cumbum, Giddalur, Nandyal, Dhone, Gooty, Anantapur and Dharmavaram.

It will consist of one AC 2-Tier, two AC 3-Tier, two AC Chair Cars, three Sleeper Class, four General Second Class and two Second Class Luggage cum Brake Van coaches.

Passengers can reserve their tickets in advance for these special trains.

RTC Buses: The APSRTC will operate special services to Puttaparthi to enable devotees to go to Prashanti Nilayam, the abode of Satya Sai Baba, to pay their last respects to the departed soul.
