HYDERABAD: Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu wanted the Central government to take follow-up action on the Srikrishna Committee report on Telangana state. He condemned the attacks on Telangana students, particularly those in Osmania University.

After a day-long drama over separate party unit for Telangana within the TDP, he, however, did not make his stand clear on the separate party unit for Telangana region.

He, however, said, "As a president I have the responsibility to protect the party in all the regions and coordinate with leaders from all the regions."
