ANANTAPUR: Three of the four convicted in the suitcase bomb case, sentenced to 5 years’ RI and sent to Kadapa central jail on Thursday, were granted bail on Friday. Those given bail by district additional fast-track court are Mangali Krishna, Subbi Reddy and Ramachandra Reddy on Friday.

K.Ravindranath Reddy is still in jail.

Dantuluri Krishna alias Mangali Krishna from Pulivendula in Kadapa district, along with Ramachandra Reddy, Golla Subbi Reddy and Kothakota Ravindranath Reddy from CK Palle in Anantapur district, were convicted of a conspiracy to elimnate TDP leader Paritala Ravindra with a suitcase bomb on March 19, 2001.

Police, however, foiled the attempt and registered cases against 14 persons.
