Express News Service

Bharath alias Yasho Sagar, the Tollywood actor of  ‘Ullasanga Utsahanga’ fame, was killed in a road accident on National Highway-4 at Sira town near Tumkur in Karnataka in the early hours of Wednesday. A friend of the actor was also killed on the spot while another escaped with serious injuries when their car rammed into the safety wall of a road-over-bridge.

According to information, Yasho Sagar and his friends Viswanath Reddy and Lokesh were going to Bangalore from Pune when the accident took place around 6.30 a.m. Viswanath was at the wheels while the 22-year-old actor sat beside him. As the car reached the Tumkur bridge, Viswanath lost control and rammed the five-feet high divider wall.

The car got stuck on the divider and hence escaped a 15-feet fall to the road below. Lokesh, who was on the back seat, reportedly fractured his leg and has been hospitalised in Bangalore.

Police superintendent T R Suresh told Express that the accident might have happened due to negligent driving. He said the NH-4 has six lanes and the road was also less crowded in the morning. He said that the driver might have been drowsy as the trio were driving by turns all night. Yasho Sagar had made his debut in Telegu with ‘Ullasanga Utsahanga’ which was a major hit in 2008. Sagar’s father B P Somu is a noted producer of Kannada films. The youngster had also acted in Kannada film ‘Mr Premikudu’ and Malayalam film “Ayyo Pavam”.
