RTC Earns Rs 16 crore from Jatara

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has earned about Rs 16 crore by transporting pilgrims to Sammakka Sarakka Jatara held at Medaram village in Warangal district.

The corporation has operated 3,200 special buses to the jatara, says a press release.

During the jatara the RTC has transported about 12 lakh pilgrims.

The RTC is also planning to operate 300 special buses from various places in the state to places like Srisailam, Kotappakonda, Edupayala, Vemulavada and Keesara for Mahasivaratri on February 20.

Special buses would also be operated to Siva Kshethrams located in bordering Karnataka state on the occasion of the festival.
