WARANGAL: A sixth standard student, G Sivakumar (11), has committed suicide by consuming pesticide after his mother chided him for not going to school.
The incident occurred in Venkravupalli B village of Chityal mandal near here on Tuesday.
The boy was reprimanded four months ago on the charges of stealing toys from an Anganwadi school. It is leanr that the boy has been evading school since he was scared that he would be beaten for the petty crime.
The schoolkid consumed pesticide and died on the way to hospital.
