Naidu telling lies: Ponnala

Express News Service

Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu showed some dried-up paddy to allege that power supply is irregular in four mandals in Anantpaur district, information minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah, who is also in charge of the energy department, has said.

Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat here on Friday, Lakshmaiah said, “We have computerised records to prove that all the four mandals covered by Naidu were supplied sevenhour power supply for agriculture and no paddy field has dried up.”

He said that one Peda Mangamma told Naidu that she had not received her old age pension for the last three months and it was also wrong.

An official team visited the areas and found that Peda Mangamma had received her pension through the smart card system. The officials traced the addresses of some other women with whom naidu interacted and found that all of them got pensions, the minister said and advised Naidu to stop telling lies to people.
