Ajit Singh expects separate Telangana to be a reality soon

Rashtriya Lok Dal Chief and union aviation minister Ajit Singh today expressed hope that separate Telangana would be a reality soon.

Singh, who was in the city to pledge his support to the cause, met Congress MPs from the region and discussed the statehood issue with them.

"After the success of the procession ('Telangana March' on September 30), this issue has again become the talking point in Delhi. We are discussing how to go about it," he told reporters.

Congress MP Madhu Yashki Goud said that Ajit Singh supports the demand for statehood and the issue was discussed with him.

Meanwhile, Telangana Joint Action Committee Chairman M Kodandaram denied reports of differences between the JAC and TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao.
