Nearly 3,152 Srivari Sevaks arrived from eight states to offer their services during the nine-day Navaratri Brahmotsavams which commenced here from Monday.
Addressing the sevaks at Asthana Mandapam here, TTD executive officer LV Subramanayam said rendering service is nothing but practicing Yuga dharma to attain spiritual and emotional stability combined with humanity for the well-being of the society.
Seva was a pious concept in Hindu Sanatana Dharma which signified total surrender to Lord by serving fellow humans, he said.
He called upon the sevaks to associate themselves whole-heartedly in the service of fellow pilgrims. He asked them to propagate the seva concept in villages so that more number of people would turnout for Srivari Seva.
"You should render the services with sincerity and discipline wherever you are asked to do. Doing service without expecting anything in return is a rare opportunity. You are blessed to receive this opportunity'' he maintained.
