In a minor mishap, Adilabad-bound Krishna Express was hit by a traction repair machine on the railway track on Wednesday near Chintapally in Warangal district. However, no passenger sustained injuries. The train was delayed by 55 minutes due to the accident.

Sources said that the routine track repair works were taking place on Warangal track. The engineering track machine had a minor bump against the Krishna Express which was waiting on the track for signal.

The train’s scheduled arrival at Warangal was at 4.55 pm and the scheduled departure time was 4.57 pm. But, the train arrived at Warangal station at 5.50 pm and departed at 5.52 pm due to the incident. Railway Dy SP Suresh Kumar said in Warangal that it was a minor incident and no one injured in the incident.

He dismissed speculation that 20 passengers sustained injuries in the incident. The train left Warangal station and there was no major damage to railway property, Suresh Kumar said.
