Congress MLC writes to Sonia for action against Botcha

Express News Service

PCC vice-president and MLC S Indrasain Reddy has written to AICC chief Sonia Gandhi urging her to initiate action against PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana for attending the “Jai Andhra Pradesh” meeting, held at Rajahmundry recently.

Reddy, who picked up an argument with Botcha during the Republic Day celebration at Gandhi Bhavan on January 26 on the same issue, wrote a detailed letter to Sonia on Thursday.

In the letter, Reddy said it was not fair for Botcha to participate in the meeting as he is the president of the party state unit and the meeting was held in support of united Andhra Pradesh.

By taking part in the “Jai Andhra Pradesh” meeting, the PCC chief had not only acted against the aspirations of Telangana people but also defied the party high command, he alleged.

The AICC leadership should initiate disciplinary action against the PCC chief immediately, he said.

CM Camp Behind Letter?

Interestingly, before releasing this letter to the media, Indrasain Reddy had a lengthy discussion with M Ranga Reddy, MLC and a close aide of chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, at the CLP office on Thursday.

As there has been a running feud between Kiran Reddy and Botcha, some Congress leaders express doubts that Indrasain Reddy might have been backed by the chief minister’s camp in writing the letter to the AICC supremo against Botcha.
