Yesterday's unexpectedtorrential rain in Guntur district claimed the lives of threefarmers, official sources said.
N Anjeneyulu (40) and G Edu Kondalu (40) were struck bylightening when they were in the field, covering the harvestedchili crop with tarpaulin.
At Mulakaluru village, J Govindh (45) died after beingstruck by lightning as he was returning home after collectingharvested cotton.
Cotton and chili crops in the district have been damageddue to the unseasonal rain, officials said.
