Minister for Co-operation Kasu Venkata Krishna Reddy has threatened to quit his post if the Congress high command and the UPA Government decide to bifurcate the state yielding to the pressure from Telangana leaders.

Talking to newsmen at the Congress office in Chilakaluripet on his way to Narasaraopet on Sunday, Krishna Reddy said he is an integrationist. It is not proper to demand a separate state on the ground that the region is backward. Steps should be taken to promote balanced regional growth instead of bifurcating state, he said.
