Differences between two friends led to the murder of Palacole Congress MLA Bangaru Usharani’s son Thursday night at Mulastanam village in Alamur mandal.

Nallamsetti Veera Babu murdered his friend and business partner Jeevan in a car, after which he threw Jeevan’s body on the road and surrendered before the Ravulapalem police with the knife he used for killing Jeevan. Later, Ravulapalem police handed over the accused to Alamur police. Jeevan and Babu were running a water purifying plant and a sanitaryware shop in Rajahmundry for some years.

Recently, differences cropped up between them about finances and they began accusing each other of misusing funds. Thursday night, the duo started in a car to go to Palacole when heated altercations began between them.

Enraged, Babu stabbed Jeevan. Jeevan was staying with Usha Rani’s sister in Rajahmundry since some years. Alamur sub-inspector Satyanarayana arrested Babu. Investigation is on.
