Demanding solution of their long-pending demands, priests working in various temples across the district staged a dharna under the banner of the District Archaka Samakhya in front of the office of the assistant endowments commissioner on Rebalavari Street on Friday. The demands included cancellation of retirement of priests, cancellation of Paditharam system, better salaries in time, restoration of hereditary system related to temple management and others.
