CM clarifies on FSA

The fuel surcharge adjustment (FSA) was levied on consumers as per the actual cost incurred on supplying  power to consumers as approved by the AP State Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC) and the state government had no role in it, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy said during question hour on Thursday. FSA is levied due to increase in power cost.

SOPS TO ISUZU, M&M:

The government is providing a host of incentives to Isuzu Motors of Japan to set up its unit in the Sri City special economic zone (SEZ) in Chittoor district, major industries minister J Geetha Reddy said. The concessions include 100 pc reimbursement of net VAT and CST for 30 years limiting to a cap of 135 pc of investment made in seven years, refund of 100 pc VAT on work contracts, refund of 100 pc stamp duty and transfer duty, reimbursement of power charges  reimbursement of 100 pc training grant of Rs 10,000  a head for up to 2,000 workers.
