Pavithrotsavams will be celebrated at Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple at Andhra Ashram in Rishikesh on Friday.
The event will be conducted as per Agamas after performing Ankurarpanam on Thursday. The object of this festival is expiation of the sins of omission and commission arising in the religious rites performed in the temple.
Pavithrotsavams will commence on Friday with Snapana Tirumanjanam in the morning and the event will be concluded by offering Poornahuti.
