Satya Sai School Girl is ‘HMUN India Hero’

VISAKHAPATNAM: A student of Sri Satya Sai Vidya Vihar in the city - Sayesha Reddy - has won the prestigious Harvard Model United Nations India Impact Initiative award and was recognised as ‘HMUN India Hero” at International Convention held in Hyderabad. She received the award for her documentary on integrated rural development programmes by renowned NGO Bhagavatula Charitable Trust (BCT).

Sayesha’s documentary, which depicted the BCT’s initiatives in a three-minute video, was appreciated by the critics. Eight videos were selected for the competition.

Sayesha’s video was selected for the award based on the number of “Likes” on the Facebook and Youtube.

Harvard Model United Nations (HMUN) India provides an opportunity every year to individuals and organisations working towards the ‘UN Millennium Development Goals’. The funds raised from this initiative will be passed on to them to support their work further on.

On the occasion, Sri Satya Sai Vidya Vihar officials appreciated Sayesha. They said that she also participates actively in various cultural, academic and service activities.

State president Sri Satya Sai Seva Organisation and convener Sri Satya Sai Vidya Vihar School SG Chalam, principal of Sri Satya Sai Vidya Vihar A Kausalya and secretary of BCT Sree Ram Murthy complimented Sayesha.
