Medical Counselling in AP, TS from August 27

HYDERABAD: AP Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas said the counselling process for admissions to undergraduate medical courses would commence in AP and Telangana on August 27.

Speaking to presspersons here on Tuesday, he said Dr NTR University of Health Sciences would issue the notification on Wednesday. With the Medical Council of India deadline for commencing the MBBS classes on September 1, he exuded confidence that the first phase of counselling would finish by August 31 and classes would begin as per MCI schedule on September 1.

Meanwhile, the officials of the University would hold another round of meeting on Wednesday with both Telangana and AP governments before issuing the notification.

There are about 5,600 MBBS seats available for medical aspirants in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
