VIJAYAWADA: Krishna district officials are gearing up to celebrate the 143rd birth anniversary of the ‘Andhra Kesari’ Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu on August 23.
District collector M Ragunandan Rao directed Vijayawada sub-collector and the Machilipatnam RDO to hold the celebrations from school to PG level and to conduct various competitions on Andhra Kesari’s life. Vijayawada sub-collector D Hari Chandana said that quiz, elocution and singing competitions would be conducted on August 22 at Zilla Parishad High School, Patamata, to mark the occasion, and that prizes would be distributed to the winners at a function on August 23 at Tummalapalli Kala Kshetram.
