Surveyor Caught Taking Bribe

VIZIANAGARAM: Jami mandal surveyor G Sivaji was caught red-handed by ACB sleuths while accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000 Tuesday.

According to deputy inspector of police (ACB) Ch Lakshmipathi, M Srinivasa Rao of Annamrajupeta village of Jami mandal approached Sivaji for the FMB document for his land. The surveyor demanded Rs 3,000 from Srinivasa Rao for issuing the FMB copy. Though Srinivasa Rao made several requests,  the accused did not heed his pleas.

Vexed with the surveyor’s attitude, Srinivasa Rao lodged a complaint with the ACB officials. As per the ACB plan, Srinivasa Rao asked the surveyor to come to Bhimasingi to take the money. Tuesday afternoon, Sivaji went to Bhimasingi and met Srinivasa Rao. While Sivaji was accepting the money, the ACB sleuths arrested him. A case has been registered.
