Skill-Based Edn Needed to Help Students Get Jobs: V-C

GUNTUR: Acharya Nagarjuna University vice-chancellor Prof K Viyyanna Rao has stressed the need for improvement of the standards in the education sector for the development of the residuary Andhra Pradesh and urged the government to establish a Central University with international standards in the state.

Addressing a seminar on “Navyandhrapradesh- Educational Challenges” organised by the Student Federation of India (SFI) here Saturday, Prof Viyyanna Rao said that the government should allot at least `50 crore for each district and develop a model institution where the students can pursue skill-oriented courses.

At another programme, Prof K Viyyanna Rao delivering an annual oration on “Education Reforms in Today’s India”, organised by the Sri Chigurupati Sehagiri Rao Memorial Trust, at Vedika function hall in Vijayawada. Later, he gave away scholarships to students of various classes.
