Man Murders Wife with Farm Tool

SRIKAKULAM: In another ghastly incident, a person murdered his wife by hitting her with an agricultural tool (grub hoe) on her head in Gobburu village of G Sigadam mandal of the district Wednesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Dalamma, aged around 26 years, a native of Rajam and resident of Gobburu village. Her husband Ramappadu after murdering her fled from the spot and is now absconding.

According to sources, Dalamma was married to Ramappadu for seven years and the couple have a five-year-old daughter. Sources said that the couple were having disputes over petty issues, when many times family members tried to counsel them. On Wednesday morning, Ramappadu came with the sharp agricultural tool and hit Dalamma to death. The couple’s daughter Tanuja who woke up listening to her mother screaming, came and found her mother lying in a pool of blood. She rushed to the neighbouring houses and intimated them, who reported the incident to the police. Ramappadu fled from the spot before the locals reached the house. DSP Adinarayana and his team reached the spot and enquired the locals and Tanuja. A case has been registered and teams have been deployed to nab the culprit.
