Rachapalem to Get Sahitya Award Today

KADAPA:  Prof Rachapalem Chandrasekhar Reddy, a prolific Telugu writer, will receive Kendra Sahitya Academy award for his book Mana Navalalu-Mana Kathanikalu at an award function to be held in New Delhi on Monday.

In the programme, Chandrasekhar Reddy would be sharing stage with 23 other famous writers from across the country. Popular Punjab writer Gurudayal Singh will be the chief guest for the event.

In the six-day Sahitya (literary) festival, a special programme ‘Festival of Letters’ will be held, where writers and audience will read certain parts of the famous books or writings that were written by the eminent writers of the country.

On the second-day of the award function, Chandrasekhar Reddy will attend a programme organised by the Telugu-speaking people at the Andhra Bhavan, New Delhi, said KSA secretary K Srinivasa Rao.

Again on March 11, he will be participating in a writer’s face-to-face programme, he added.
