VIJAYAWADA: A 17-year old youth P Pawan Kumar was murdered and his parents — P Varaprasad and Venkataramana — were injured in an attack by his paternal uncle, aunt and their son at Polavaram in Chatrai mandal of Krishna district Wednesday.
According to police, the assailants — P Satyanaryana, Sitamahalaskhmi and Kalyan — attacked their relatives with sickles resulting in Pawan Kumar’s intantaneous death. The attack took place following a dispute over 70 cents of land in Polavaram. In fact, Pawan Kumar and his parents lodged a complaint with the police Tuesday and as it is a civil issue, the police did not take much interest. The accused are absconding while the injured were admitted to government hospital in Nuzvid.
