40 More Modernised Rythu Bazaars Coming Up in Andhra Pradesh

Agriculture minister vows to resolve village boundaries issue at the earliest

GUNTUR:Agriculture minister Prathipati Pulla Rao has said that 40 more Rythu Bazaars will be set up in various parts of Andhra Pradesh in the coming days.

Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the Rythu Bazaar in Chilakaluripet town, modernised at the cost of Rs 38 lakh, on Sunday, the minister said that in addition to the existing 83 Rythu Bazaars, 40 more modernised Rythu Bazaars would be established soon.

“With the sole intention of providing fresh vegetables to people at cheaper prices as well as to the benefit farmers, the state government had decided to strengthen the Rythu Bazars,” he said.

Stating that the government took the process of distribution of onions and turmeric to the customers in wake of the spiraling prices, he said the government took the initiative to reduce the burden on families.

Exuding confidence over getting the remaining lands earmarked for the construction of capital city, he mentioned that farmers in the capital region were expressing willingness to part with their lands to the government through the land pooling scheme.

On the occasion, he promised to resolve the village boundaries issue at the earliest.
