GUNTUR: In a shocking incident, a youth stabbed a woman to death in Chilakaluripeta town on Tuesday.
According to information reaching here, Chamelu, a native of Boppudi, fatally attacked Jonybai (32) while she was working in a hotel.
It is learnt that the victim had an illicit affair with a person named Nagaraju, who was also working in the same hotel. Nagaraju was killed in an accident recently and since then his younger brother Chamelu bore a grudge against Jonybai, suspecting that her relatives had murdered Nagaraju.
Against this backdrop, he went to the hotel on Tuesday armed with a knife and murdered her while she was working there.
Chilakaluripet Urban CI B Suresh has registered a case and is investigating it.
The accused is at large.
