ED attach Rs 749 crore worth assets of Jagan Mohan Reddy

HYDERABAD: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials on Wednesday attached Rs 749 crore worth of assets of YSRCP leader Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy including his mansion `Lotus Pond' located in Banjara Hills of Hyderabad in connection with money laundering case.

Based on charge sheet filed by the CBI that charged Jagan Mohan Reddy in criminal conspiracy with others got allotted mining lease to Bharathi cement Corporation Private Limited illegally and received bribes from various persons.

During investigation, the proceeds of crime were identified in the form of movable and immovable properties. A total value of attached properties is about Rs 749.10 crore. The attached properties are located in Hyderabad, Bangalore and Kadapa including Sakshi towers and Lotus Pond where Jagan Mohan Reddy's family is residing in Hyderabad.
