VIJAYAWADA: The city police arrested three engineering and three degree students here Wednesday for sharing the nine-minute video clip of ‘Bahubali-2’ on social media. They also seized a laptop and six smartphones used for posting the video clip of a war scene of the upcoming film.
A day after the arrest of Krishna Dayanand, who was working in digital and graphics department at Annapurna Studios, for allegedly leaking the video clip, the city task force police found that a 10-minute clip of Nagarjuna-starrer ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’ was also doing the rounds on social media.
Based on a complaint filed by Devarapalli Lakshmi Prasad, systems administrator in ARKA Media, with the Patamata police in Vijayawada, the city task force arrested six city college students for sharing the videos on social media. They found that Dayanand had shared both the video clips with his friend Akki Krishna Chaitanya who, in turn, forwarded them to five of his friends and posted them on social media as well.
