7 mobile clinics to tour Guntur

GUNTUR: The district medical and health department is all set to launch an awareness drive with mobile medical teams across the district.

As many as seven mobile medical clinics will soon visit all the localities in Guntur city alone, take up awareness drive for the residents and screen the patients. Similarly, the mobile medical clinics will cover other municipal towns like Tenali, Mangalagiri, Narasaraopet and Sattenapalle. After visiting the areas prone to the spread of seasonal diseases, the medical officials will screen the suspected dengue and malaria cases, give the patients necessary medicines and also refer them to hospitals for further treatment.

District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) Dr. T Padmaja Rani told Express that as per the official records, the number of dengue cases stood at 66 and the malaria cases at 211 this year.
