Government committed to supply power 24 hours to all, says TDP MLA

GUNTUR: Guntur West MLA M Venugopala Reddy inaugurated the 3322 kv power substation constructed at a cost of Rs 8 crore at Lakshmipuram here on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, the MLA sought installation of more such gas insulated power substations. He said that the TDP-led government is committed to provide 24X7 power supply to all. 

He said that due to increase in number of commercial complexes at Brodipet, Lakshmipuram and Pattabhipuram areas, the officials from electricity department have proposed installation of many substations in the city to meet the demand. GMC Commissioner Ch Anuradha said that the civic body would allot sites for installation of substations.

APSPDCL superintendent engineer B Jayabharat Rao said that the gas insulated power substation was established with Sweden technology by using German material. Divisional Engineer Tirupathi Reddy, Srinivasa Rao and others participated.
