HYDERABAD: Special chief secretary of AP government, LV Subrahmanyam, on Monday urged the Hyderabad High Court to set aside the cognisance order passed by the ACB Court in Hyderabad that made him an accused in Raheja Mind Space case.

Senior counsel T Niranjan Reddy, appearing for Subrahmanyam, made this plea before Justice B Siva Sankara Rao who was hearing the case. At the relevant time, Subrahmanyam as the then managing director of APIIC only recommended transfer of land available at Nanakramguda to Rahejas as no land was available at Madhapur.

On May 12, 2005, he made this recommendation and within a week he was transferred to another department and he has got nothing to do with what was happened later, the senior counsel noted.

At this stage, several advocates representing other accused officials like B P Acharya, Ratna Prabha expressed grievance. They sought a combined hearing of their cases as well. The judge posted the case to Tuesday for further hearing.
