Learning about the incident, Kurnool Superintendent of Police A Ravi Krishna kept under suspension the two constables.

In a statement, the SP said that the two constables - K Mani Kumar and K Manoj Kumar -  beat up home guard S Mohammed Hussain on duty in broad  daylight. The two policemen who are brothers, stopped their motorcycle at the traffic signal but did not move even when the signal turned green as the one who was driving was speaking on mobile phone.
