Raghu Engineering College gets autonomous status

VISAKHAPATNAM: The city-based Raghu Engineering College has been conferred autonomous status by University Grants Commission (UGC) from the current academic year to 2022-23, announced K Raghu, chairman of Raghu Group of Educational Institutions here on Sunday.

Raghu said the college was already accredited by the NAAC with ‘A’ Grade till 2021, also all the eligible programmes of the college are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

“Autonomous status allows the institution the freedom to design industry-oriented curricula and introduce courses and academic programmes which would enhance the employability skills of students,” he said.
Raghu Institutions was established in 2001 and has several colleges.

He said that the college, at present, is offering B Tech programmes in mechanical, ECE, CSE, civil and electrical streams. The college has over 50 doctorate professors and around 370 teaching staff.
