GUNTUR: The residents of Morjampadu village staged a protest in front of the Piduguralla Rural police station on Sunday, demanding action against the TDP leaders for harassing them.

YSRC Gurajala Assembly constituency in-charge Kasu Mahesh Reddy along with party leaders and activists participated in the dharna.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, “The TDP leaders are harassing women in the village. Though the villagers lodged a complaint with the police, the latter failed to take action against them. Now, the TDP leaders are threatening the petitioners.”

Piduguralla Rural CI M V Subba Rao assured the agitators of taking action against errant TDP leaders.
