GUNTUR: Leader of the Opposition and YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Saturday came down heavily on Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. He alleged that the TDP chief was once again trying to cheat the people of the State in the name of all party-meeting, cycle rally and black ribbon protests.

Addressing a public meeting at Tenali as part of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra , Jagan alleged that Naidu betrayed over 5 crore people of the State who had trusted him due to his 40 years experience. However, Naidu gave priority to his own interests at the cost of the interest of the State, he alleged.

“Our MPs are fighting in Delhi after resigning to champion the cause of Andhra Pradesh. If TDP MPs too had joined indefinite fast after resigning to their MP seats, the impact would have been much more. However, TDP chief and MPs are more focused on their own interests,” Jagan said.

Jaganmohan Reddy alleged that TDP leaders, including legislators, were illegally digging sand from Krishna river. He also accused Tenali MLA  A Rajendra Prasad of encroaching public land.
He claimed that  no one in the 13 districts of the State was happy for the past four years due to increased corruption in the TDP government.

He promised `10,000 monthly pension to patients ailing from chronic illnesses if the YSRC voted to power in the State.

Dialysis and chemotherapy centres would be set up in every Mandal. He promised that general pension eligibility age would be decreased to 60 years from present 65 years and `2,000 monthly pension would be given to poor women above 45 years age belongs to SC, ST, BC and minority communities.
