GUNTUR: Guntur-East MLA Md Mustafa has alleged that the officials are negligent in clearing stagnant water and bushes from the road stretch from Ramireddythota to Guntur main bus stand centre in Old Guntur. He further said drains are overflowing on the roads, creating inconvenience to pedestrians.
Md Mustafa said due to the presence of bushes in the outfall main drain near APSRTC bus stand, drainage water is entering old houses at Ramireddythota, Gunturuvari Thota and Kothapet. He demanded the removal of silt from the drainage and weeds to facilitate the free flow of drains water in the side drains.
He interacted with the public at Lalapet of 14th division in the city and directed the GMC staff to clear drainage water, remove weeds and clear their problems. YSRC leaders Venkata Subba Reddy, Yerra Babu, Y Ravi and others participated.
