Fire triggers blast at namkeen factory in Delhi, four injured

17 fire tenders were rushed to the spot and pressed into service, a Delhi Fire Services (DFS) official said.

NEW DELHI: Four workers were injured in a blast triggered by a fire at a namkeen factory in southwest Delhi's Najafgarh on Saturday morning, officials said. The injured were taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital here.

Fire broke out on the ground floor of a two-storey building. Upon information, 17 fire tenders were rushed to the spot and pressed into service, a Delhi Fire Services (DFS) official said.

Efforts to douse the fire are underway.
