Kumar and others were accused of allegedly fatally assaulting Dhankar and his friends in May 2021 over an alleged property dispute.

Justice Sanjeev Narula allowed Kumar’s bail plea, directing him to furnish a bond of Rs 50,000 along with two sureties of the same amount.

Previously, Kumar had been granted interim bail for a week in July 2023 to undergo knee surgery. He, along with other accused individuals, is currently facing trial for his alleged involvement in the fatal assault on Dhankar at Chhatrasal Stadium.

They pointed out that despite the passage of time, only 30 out of 222 prosecution witnesses have been examined. (All the material witnesses have already been examined,” they said.
