BANGALORE: The Karnataka Telugu Academy has demanded that Telugu primary and higher primary schools must be opened in all areas where Telugu speaking people are more than 15 per cent in the state.

The academy demanded in a memorandum submitted on Thursday to the Andhra Pradesh Joint House Committee headed by AP Legislative Council Chairman A Chakrapani, set up to study the lifestyle, education, culture and problems of the Telugu people living in Karnataka.
