Miss India Earth has Manipal connection

MANIPAL: Shriya Kishore, who won the Miss India Earth title on Sunday at a beauty pageant in Mumbai, had graduated with a Bachelor in Hotel Management (BHM) degree from the Welcome Group School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA) at the Manipal University.

Shriya had gained a wild card entry into the popular beauty pageant and being the second runners-up, she will now represent India at the Miss Earth-09 in October this year where young ladies from 90 different countries will compete to win the crown. The winner will then officially represent the Miss Earth foundation and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
