GULBARGA: Teachers at M R Medical College, Gulbarga, where Y S Rajashekhar Reddy studied between 1966 and 1972 and honed his leadership skills, have reacted with shock and disbelief over the news that his chopper had gone missing.

Dr P S Shankar, Medical Director, M R Medical College and Basaveshwara Teaching and General Hospital, who taught YSR when he was a student at the college, said he was disappointed after he heard the news.

Recalling his association with him, Dr Shankar said that YSR had shown tremendous leadership qualities in his student days.

“He displayed leadership qualities during his time here. YSR was also a good student,” recalled Shankar.

Shankar said YSR also spent some time studying in Bellary and completed his internship at Tirupati.

“Rajashekhar Reddy has been in touch with Gulbarga,” Shankar said.

During the college alumni meet held two years ago, Rajashekhar Reddy participated and recalled that he was suspended from the college for a few days for participating in an agitation.
