RAICHUR: The district BJP on Sunday lodged a complaint with the police that workers of JD(S) and the Congress party have kidnapped Lingsugur MLA Manappa Vajjal. District BJP president Ashok Gasti, BJP leaders Basangouda Byagwat, Dodda Malleshappa, Shivaraj Merchetal, Bandesh and others met DySP Shridhar and lodged the complaint.

The complaint said that Manappa Vajjal was kidnapped and has been kept at a five star hotel in Chennai and urged the police to rescue him. Another complaint has been also lodged at the Lingsugur police station with the same content. Though Devadurga MLA Shivangouda Nayak has also identified with the dissident camp, the BJP did not mention his name in the complaint.
