BANGALORE: A family of judges and advocates have decided to pay a tribute to one of the greatest district and sessions judges and visionary Late Wasant Rao Arabatti (November 19, 1927 to April 13, 199) on his birth anniversary.

Note from the well-wishers:

We Indians celebrate almost every professional day including Teacher's Day, , Mother's Day, etc. However lawyers have not been recognised so far.

We take this opportunity to pay our humble respects to Late Wasant Rao Arabatti, one of the most honoured and respected judges of our times.

His judgements were even admired by the Late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He was a hallmark of respect to many court visitors, advocates, and judgement seekers. He was respected by each and every person; and were happily accepted by all concerned. His birth anniversary is November 24.

Hence we would like to take the opportunity to observe November 19 as Lawyer's Day in recognition to the services rendered by one of the greatest lawyers of Karnataka
