Cabinet expansion soon, says DVS

BANGALORE:  Not withstanding the efforts to dislodge him, chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda on Sunday said that he would soon expand his eight-month-old cabinet.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function here, Gowda said that he decided to expand the ministry as he is finding it difficult to manage multiple portfolios. Currently, he is holding over 15 portfolios including revenue, mines, health and family welfare among others.

Gowda said he instructed all the district in-charge ministers to stay in their respective district and oversee the ongoing drought relief works.He added an all-party delegation will meet PM next week to seek funds for drought.
